Springfield Promise Neighborhood

About Us

spn-six-year-goals

The Springfield Promise Neighborhood was inspired by the complementary school reform and community transformation successes of the Harlem Children’s Zone in New York City and the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation in San Diego.

Beginning in January 2010, a committee of over twenty community residents and leaders began exploring possibilities and started to organize for a local collaborative, place-based and asset-based effort to ensure the academic and social success of Springfield students.
