Camp Boost
Hosted by Springfield City Youth Mission (SCYM)


June 26 - 30, 10:00am-1:00pm
Age 4 though 5th grade completed
High St. Nazarene

A five-day, “VBS-style” reading club held at three different churches, Camp Boost targets reading skills and encourages summer learning, while sharing the gospel with preschool and elementary children. Camp Boost takes place in multiple neighborhoods with interested church partners. Sites: High Street Nazarene, Clifton Avenue Church of God, Fellowship Spring Hill.
Each student must be pre-registered to ensure we have enough space.

July 17 - 21, overnight in Hocking Hills!

Students going into grades 2-12

Spend a week in the beautiful Hocking Hills region exploring the natural world. Transporation and all meals are included. Sleep in a cabin in the woods and participate in activities led by trained counselors.

Activities include:

  • Swimming

  • Canoeing

  • Games

  • Crafts

  • Hiking

  • Storytelling

Camp Movement, Enrichment and Empowerment, or simply Camp MEE, is dedicated to the proposition that all people have a right to relationship and sexual health education that will help them understand, appreciate and take responsibility for their lives. Join us for a week of making friends, learning about health, and having fun. Topics include:

  • Healthy communication

  • Sexual health

  • Movement for joy

  • Healthy relationships

  • And more!

Outdoor Garden Camp
Hosted by Springfield Promise Neighborhood

June 26 - 30, 8:30am-12:30pm
1217 Linden Ave.
Grades 3-5

Garden Camp is a fun way for students to learn about the natural world and plants, taste fresh vegetables grown in the garden, and enjoy games and activities together. Families will also be able to take home garden-fresh vegetables and receive information about other garden and family events. The camp will also take a field trip to a local destination on June 30.

LiFESports
Hosted by Springfield Promise Neighborhood and Clark County Combined Health District

Students going into grades 6-9

Designed by Ohio State University and brought to Springfield for the first time in 2021, LiFEsports is nationally recognized as a premier model for sport-based Positive Youth Development. The goal is to build social competence among youth through their involvement in sport, fitness, and educational activities, including:

  • SETS - Self control, Effort, Teamwork, Social responsibility

  • Proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle behaviors

  • Importance of daily physical activity

  • Introductory individual sport technique and strategy
